Family Blessings
“Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children, and walk in love just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us.” Ephesians 5:1-2
Children are precious gifts from God. Our prayer is that every child is blessed to live in a home where parents love the Lord and model God’s love, grace and forgiveness daily. Hosanna’s desire is to partner with and equip parents in their role as faith nurturers. Each child receives a “Family Blessings” binder at their baptism, which is filled with information, ideas and resources in the areas of spiritual growth and development.
Young Life Support
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7
WHAT? Young Life Support (YLS) is our new name for Sunday School. Hosanna disciples love children and want to do all we possibly can to guide them into a living, loving relationship with Jesus. Our YLS program has:
- Active learning to equip kids to live out and share their faith
- Bible-based, Jesus-centered lessons
- Children participation, music, fun activities, games, drama, puppets and lots of fun!
- Small group and large group times, building relationships with peers and lifeguards (mentors).
WHO? Children ages three years old through 6th grade
WHEN? Sunday mornings at 9:30 am and 10:50 am and Wednesday afternoon at 5:45 pm (a supper is served at 5:00 pm)
Other information:
- 3rd graders receive first Bibles
- 5th graders receive First Communion after pastor-led classes in the Spring
- Opportunities for community service for 4th – 6th graders and their families
